What We’ll Be Saying On Monday

We look into our crystal ball and tell you what Monday’s headlines will be today.

This figures to be a great weekend of football as there are tremendous college football games between Top 25 teams and some evenly matched NFL games. As always, we’re going to peek into our crystal ball and give you Monday’s headlines, today.

Alabama Is Still Alabama

Alabama quarterback Blake Sims is a fantastic talent and Lane Kiffin is doing a great job of putting him into the best possible position to succeed. The Tide will roll into Oxford to play Ole Miss in their biggest game this millennium. Alabama plays these big games all the time and they’ll take control early and coast to victory.

Oklahoma Gets A Scare

The Oklahoma Sooners have looked like the best team in America in this writer’s opinion. They haven’t played a team the  aliber of TCU yet and the Horned Frogs will give the Sooners all they can handle before finally bowing out.

The Fighting Irish Take a Leap Into the National Title Picture

Notre Dame plays one of the toughest schedules in the nation and the tough stretch starts this week with Stanford. The Cardinal play big boy football, but their offense seems to be missing something despite having one of the most explosive players in America in Ty Montgomery. Everett Golson’s Heisman candidacy takes a step forward as the Irish win a tight game at home.

The Saints Will Be Tied For First Place

The NFC South isn’t very good. That’s allowed the New Orleans Saints to scuffle just like everyone else in the division and find themselves just one game out of first place. Although the Saints are missing Jairus Byrd, they will find a way to beat Tampa Bay, and both Carolina and Atlanta will lose their respective games against the Chicago Bears and the New York Giants.

The Patriots Are Resurrected

New England looked about as bad as they have in the Bill Belichick/Tom Brady era on Monday night as they were simply beaten up by the Kansas City Chiefs. Although many have documented their demise, these are the spots where the Patriots step up and prove everyone wrong. The New England Patriots will defeat the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday night.
