Week 9 NFL Power Rankings

Find out where your favorite team ranks this week.

Published

on

1. New England Patriots – At this point, it’ll be shocking if the Patriots drop at any point this season.

2. Dallas Cowboys – If you didn’t believe in Dallas before last week, you should now. It’ll be a shame if they go back to Tony Romo.

3. Oakland Raiders – After throwing for over 500 yards in Tampa Bay, Derek Carr has inserted himself into the MVP discussion.

4. Denver Broncos – The way Denver wins isn’t pretty, but it works.

5. Kansas City Chiefs – The Chiefs are climbing up the ranks at an unbelievable rate. This is one of the most balanced teams in football.

6. Atlanta Falcons – Even though Green Bay was banged up, Atlanta needed that win for their morale after dropping two straight.

7. Minnesota Vikings – Following their 5-0 start, the Vikings have lost two straight.

8. Seattle Seahawks – Sure, the Saints are an average team at best, but losing in the Superdome is nothing to be ashamed of. It’s still one of the toughest places to play.

9. Green Bay Packers – When fully healthy, this is still a team capable of making a run in January.

10. Philadelphia Eagles – The Eagles have come back down to earth. Nonetheless, they’ll still be competing for a wildcard spot.

11. Washington Redskins – Outside of Dallas, the NFC East is very congested with teams fighting for a wildcard spot.

12. New York Giants – With their bye week behind them, New York has a pivotal matchup against Philly this week.

13. Houston Texans – This is an average football team. Luckily, they play in the embarrassing AFC South.

14. New Orleans Saints – Don’t look now, but the Saints are back in the mix of things in the NFC South.

15. Tennessee Titans – Just a few weeks ago, it appeared as if Tennessee was in for another long season. Now, they’re .500 with a chance to steal the division.

16. Pittsburgh Steelers – With Big Ben coming back, expect for Pittsburgh to shoot up the rankings.

17. Arizona Cardinals – Before the season, no one would’ve ever imagined Arizona being ranked this low.

18. Buffalo Bills – It’s been a roller coaster season for Rex Ryan’s unit. They started off cold, then hot and now they’re back cold again after losing two straight.

19. Detroit Lions – Much wasn’t expected of Detroit before the season, but with Matthew Stafford playing at an MVP level, this team looks to be a legitimate threat in the NFC North.

20. San Diego Chargers – You never quite know what to expect from San Diego week-to-week. They’ve been one of the most Jekyll and Hyde teams over the past few seasons.

21. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Losing to Oakland in overtime this past Sunday definitely hurt, especially with Atlanta winning.

22. Cincinnati Bengals – How do you react after tying? It’s one of those weird things where you just try to move on as if it didn’t happen. We’re still waiting for Cincy to wake up.

23. New York Jets – Winners of two straight, the Jets are quietly back in the wildcard hunt.

24. Los Angeles Rams – Talk about falling off. After getting off to a 3-1 start, Los Angeles is currently experiencing a three-game losing streak.

25. Baltimore Ravens – Here’s an even bigger dip off. Baltimore shocked everyone after winning their first three games, but they’ve lost four straight since.

26. Indianapolis Colts – It’s the same ‘ole song with Indy. Defensively, they’re a joke and on the other side of the ball, they’re still unable to protect franchise quarterback Andrew Luck.

27. Miami Dolphins – People were burying Miami a few weeks ago and deservedly so. Now, the Dolphins are winners of two straight. It was probably

28. Carolina Panthers – After losing in the Super Bowl a season ago, many expected Carolina to come back with a vengeance. That simply hasn’t been the case.

29. Chicago Bears – In the surprise of the week, Chicago stunned rival Minnesota Monday night.

30. Jacksonville Jaguars – This was supposed to be the year of the young Jaguars, however, it’s likely to end with the firing of Gus Bradley.

31. San Francisco 49ers – When it comes to skill positions, the Niners probably have the worst to offer.

32. Cleveland Browns – When using several quarterbacks, you’re just destined to fail. However, no one expected Cleveland to be good anyway.
