The most comprehensive set of weekly power rankings anywhere on the web now moves to the rookies, as we look at our top offensive and defensive first-year players.

Offensive Rookie Power Rankings

1. Kelvin Benjamin, Carolina Panthers

All Kelvin Benjamin does is catch touchdowns! This one was in garbage time but it’s not his fault that garbage time came so early. Benjamin leads all rookies with 477 receiving yards and five touchdowns.

2. Sammy Watkins, Buffalo Bills

Sammy Watkins was a hero on Sunday as he caught the game-winning score in the Bills’ 17-16 victory over the Minnesota Vikings. Watkins leads all rookies with 35 receptions.

3. Branden Oliver, San Diego Chargers

Oliver didn’t have a fantastic game in the Chargers loss to Kansas City, but he did have 78 yards from scrimmage. He’s only started two games but has 451 yards from scrimmage.

Defensive Rookie Power Rankings

1. C.J. Mosely, Baltimore Ravens

C.J. Mosely might be the best player on a Ravens defense that is simply surging. They held Atlanta to just seven points and Mosely had six tackles. He leads all rookies in tackles with 63, which puts him sixth in the NFL among all players.

2. Kyle Fuller, Chicago Bears

Kyle Fuller hurt his hand during the Bears’ loss to Miami but he won’t have to have surgery. At this point, it’s unclear how long he’ll be out. He’s already the best player in the Bears’ secondary.

3. Aaron Donald, St. Louis Rams

Aaron Donald doesn’t put up huge stats from his defensive tackle position, but he’s becoming an impact player. Pro Football Focus has Donald as the top-rated defensive tackle in football.
