We’re at the midway point of the NFL season, which means it’s time for teams to start making their playoff push, while other teams are already looking towards to the draft.

Having said that, let’s take a look at the best quarterback matchups of week 8.

1. Tom Brady vs. Dolphins – If the season ended today, he would be the MVP without question.

2. Aaron Rodgers @ Broncos – Although I believe Denver has the best defense in football, it’s Aaron Rodgers.

3. Andy Dalton @ Steelers – He has a touchdown to interception ratio of 8 to 1.

4. Carson Palmer @ Browns – Tied for first in the NFL with 16 touchdown passes.

5, Philip Rivers @ Ravens – In a must win, expect Rivers to be tossing the ball all around the lot against this lowly Baltimore squad.

6. Cam Newton vs. Colts – Here’s a great opportunity for Cam to put up some big numbers even with subpar weapons.

7. Matthew Stafford @ Chiefs – The past couple of weeks have seen major improvement from Stafford. He should be able to continue that against Kansas City.

8. Ryan Tannehill @ Patriots – It’s like the entire Dolphins team has done a complete 180 under interim head coach Dan Campbell.

9. Eli Manning @ Saints – After struggling the past two weeks, this is a golden opportunity to get back on track.

10. Drew Brees vs. Giants – New York ranks 31st against the pass.

11. Russell Wilson @ Cowboys – Marshawn Lynch’s running ability should open things up for Wilson down the field.

12. Matt Ryan vs. Buccaneers – Tampa Bay allows 29.8 points per game, which is tied for worst in the NFL. This should bode well for Matty Ice.

13. Marcus Mariota @ Texans – For a struggling rookie like Mariota, facing Houston is exactly what the doctor ordered. The Texans have allowed 16 passing touchdowns, which is the most in the league.

14. Jameis Winston @ Falcons – After consecutive weeks of having a quarterback rating over 100, Winston has a chance to make it three straight in Atlanta.

15. Derek Carr vs. Jets – The second year quarterback is coming off arguably his best game to date, but this Jets secondary isn’t any joke.

16. Joe Flacco vs. Chargers – Mediocre is the perfect term to describe his play thus far, but he’s due for a breakout performance, right?

17. Ben Roethlisberger vs. Bengals – Since Big Ben has been missing in action, it’s difficult to gauge how he’ll perform against a stout Bengals defense.

18. Ryan Fitzpatrick @ Raiders – The veteran isn’t asked to put up gaudy numbers. He just has to manage the game and put New York in position to win.

19. Alex Smith vs. Lions – Detroit allows the most yards per catch (9.1), but it’s not as if Alex Smith throws the ball down the field anyway.

20. Peyton Manning vs. Packers – Green Bay is second in sacks with 23, which doesn’t look too favorable for an aging Manning.

21. Andrew Luck @ Panthers – He’s been the most disappointing player this season and now he has to face this scary Carolina defense.

22. Jay Cutler vs. Vikings – Minnesota only allows 17 points per game.

23. Teddy Bridgewater @ Bears – He just hasn’t shown the ability to put up big numbers.

24. Nick Foles vs. 49ers – San Francisco ranks dead last in pass defense, but luckily they’re facing Foles.

25. Matt Cassel vs. Seahawks – For his sake, hopefully Dez Bryant makes his return.

26. Colin Kaepernick @ Rams – The athleticism of this Rams defense will cause havoc.

27. Brian Hoyer vs. Titans – At this point, Houston is just trotting Hoyer out onto the field on pure faith.

28. Josh McCown vs. Cardinals – Arizona leads the league with 12 interceptions.
