Week 14 NFL Rookie Of The Year Rankings

Find out which rookie wide receiver is making a move on the Offensive Rookie Of The Year Award.

on

The most comprehensive set of weekly power rankings anywhere on the web now moves to the rookies, as we look at our top offensive and defensive first-year players.

Offensive Rookie Power Rankings

1. Mike Evans, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Mike Evans didn’t have a great game in the Bucs’ loss to the Bengals as he only caught four passes for 49 yards, but he is still leading all rookie wide receivers in receiving yards (890), tied for the lead in touchdown receptions (8) and is tied for third in receptions (53). Evans is now the Bucs’ No. 1 receiver and he’s getting coverage rolled his way while playing with a bad quarterback in Josh McCown. Considering all the factors, Mike Evans is having a great rookie season.

2. Odell Beckham, New York Giants

Odell Beckham missed the first month of the season but since he’s come back he’s been nothing short of spectacular. In just seven starts Beckham has 699 receiving yards and five touchdown receptions, while also serving double-duty as a punt returner. Beckham is one of the most explosive players in the NFL already and he’s only going to get better.

3. Kelvin Benjamin, Carolina Panthers

Kelvin Benjamin has been on a bit of a decline but that can be somewhat attributed to the inconsistent play of quarterback Cam Newton. Benjamin is still tied for the rookie lead with 57 receptions and is tied for the lead in receiving touchdowns (8) and is second in receiving yards (824).

Defensive Rookie Power Rankings

1. Aaron Donald, St. Louis Rams

Aaron Donald helped the Rams’ defense to a 52-0 blowout victory over Oakland and he had a sack for the third straight game. Donald leads all rookies in sacks (6) while playing a position that doesn’t yield many sacks. He’s by far the best rookie at his position and the best rookie defensive player.

2. C.J. Mosley, Baltimore Ravens

C.J. Mosley has been a fixture of the rebirth of the Baltimore Ravens defense. The inside linebacker has tallied 105 tackles, 10 passes defensed, a pair of interceptions, a sack, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Mosley is already one of the better linebackers in football and he fits in perfectly with the veterans in Baltimore.

3. Anthony Barr, Minnesota Vikings

Anthony Barr has been a consistent performer all year long and along with Everson Griffen, he should be a cornerstone of a very good young Vikings defense. Barr has solid stats with 70 tackles, four sacks, three passes defensed and a pair of forced fumbles and a touchdown.
