SEVEN FROM SUNDAY – WEEK 13

A look at seven statistical highlights from games played at 1:00 p.m. ET and 4:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, December 4, the 13th week of the 2016 season.

• The DALLAS COWBOYS, who defeated Minnesota 17-15 on ThursdayNight Football, became the first team to clinch a postseason berth in 2016 due to Washington’s 31-23 loss at Arizona.

• New England quarterback TOM BRADY passed for 269 yards and one touchdown in the Patriots’ 26-10 win over Los Angeles. Including the postseason, Brady has 201 career victories, the most by a starting quarterback in NFL history.

With the win, Brady improved his career record as a starter to 201-61 (.767) and is the first quarterback in NFL history with a record 140 games over .500 at any point in his career.

The P atriots (10-2) clinched their 14th consecutive season with at least 10 wins, the second-longest streak in NFL history. The 1983-1998 San Francisco 49ers (16) are the only franchise with more consecutive 10+ win seasons.

• Arizona wide receiver LARRY FITZGERALD had 10 catches for 78 yards in the Cardinals’ 31-23 win against Washington, bringing his career reception total to 1,106. Fitzgerald, who is the youngest player in NFL history (33 years, 95 days) to reach 1,100 career catches, passed Pro Football Hall of Famers CRIS CARTER (1,101) and MARVIN HARRISON (1,102) for the third-most receptions in NFL history.

Fitzgerald has recorded a catch i n 191 consecutive games, surpassing Harrison (190) for the third-longest streak in NFL history.

• Kansas City safety ERIC BERRY intercepted a two-point conversion attempt and returned it for the go-ahead score with 4:32 remaining in the fourth quarter in the Chiefs’ 29-28 victory at Atlanta. Berry’s score marked the first game-winning defensive two-point conversion scored when his team was trailing since the rule was adopted in 2015.

Berry, who also returned an interception 37 yards for a touchdown in the contest, is the first player to return an interception for both a touchdown and a two-point conversion in the same game.

• Green Bay quarterback AARON RODGERS passed for 209 yards with two touchdowns for a 108.9 passer rating in the Packers’ 21-13 win against Houston. The victory marked Rodgers’ 14th consecutive home win in the month of December, the second-longest streak by a starting quarterback in NFL history (TOM BRADY, 19 from 2002-2012).

Packers linebacker JULIUS PEPPERS recorded a sack in the victory over the Texans. Peppers, who has 142.5 career sacks, passed Pro Football Hall of Famer MICHAEL STRAHAN (141.5) for the fifth-most sacks in NFL history.

• Pittsburgh quarterback BEN ROETHLISBERGER passed for 289 yards and two touchdowns, including a 22-yard TD pass to wide receiver ANTONIO BROWN in the Steelers’ 24-14 victory against the New York Giants. Roethlisberger and Brown have connected on 49 touchdown passes, tying Pro Football Hall of Famers TERRY BRADSHAW and LYNN SWANN for the most touchdown passes from a quarterback to a receiver in franchise history.

• Chicago rookie running back JORDAN HOWARD rushed for 117 yards and three touchdowns in the Bears’ 26-6 victory against San Francisco. Howard became the fifth rookie in Bears history – and the first since 1995 (RASHAAN SALAAM, December 17) – to rush for three touchdowns in a single game. Only Pro Football Hall of Famer GALE SAYERS (four rushing TDs on December 12, 1965) had more rushing touchdowns in a game as a rookie in franchise history.

• Howard has five 100-yard rushing games this season, tying BEATTIE FEATHERS (1934) and Salaam (1995) for the most games with 100+ rushing yards by a rookie in team history.
