THE WEEK THAT WAS – WEEK 11

CLOSE GAMES: There have been 123 games within one score in the fourth quarter through Week 11, the most such games in the first 11 weeks of a season in NFL history. Three teams – DETROIT, the NEW YORK GIANTS and WASHINGTON – have had all of their games within one score in the fourth quarter this season.

FOURTH-QUARTER COMEBACKS: Through Week 11, there have been 47 games in which a team that trailed in the fourth quarter came back to win, tied for the second-most such games in the first 11 weeks of a season in NFL history. Three teams – DETROIT, MIAMI and OAKLAND – overcame a fourth-quarter deficit to win in Week 11.
All six of the Lions’ wins in 2016 have featured a fourth-quarter comeback. Last week, Detroit tight end ERIC EBRON rushed for the game-winning touchdown on his first career carry in the Lions’ 26-19 win over Jacksonville, becoming the first player to score a fourth-quarter game-winning touchdown on his first NFL carry since 1995 (CASEY WELDON). Detroit is first team in NFL history to have six wins when trailing in the fourth quarter in the team’s first 10 games of a season.
Miami quarterback RYAN TANNEHILL led two touchdown drives with under five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter in the Dolphins’ 14-10 victory at Los Angeles. In Mexico City, Oakland quarterback DEREK CARR threw two fourth-quarter touchdown passes in the Raiders’ 27-20 win over Houston at Estadio Azteca.

DOMINANCE IN DALLAS: Rookie quarterback DAK PRESCOTT passed for 301 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions for a 127.2 passer rating in the Cowboys’ 27-17 win over Baltimore. Prescott became the first rookie quarterback in NFL history to pass for at least 300 yards and multiple touchdowns with no interceptions in consecutive games.
Prescott joined CHARLIE CONERLY (1948), Pro Football Hall of Famer DAN MARINO (1983) and RUSSELL WILSON (2012) as the only rookie quarterbacks in NFL history to throw multiple touchdown passes in five consecutive games.

MINNEAPOLIS 100: Minnesota’s XAVIER RHODES had a 100-yard interception-return touchdown and CORDARRELLE PATTERSON had a 104-yard kickoff-return touchdown in the Vikings’ 30-24 win over Arizona. The Vikings became the first team since the 1962 Dallas Cowboys to have a 100+ yard interception-return touchdown and a 100+ yard kickoff-return touchdown in the same game.
Minnesota is the fourth team in NFL history with two scoring plays of at least 100 yards in the same game.

Rhodes’ 100-yard interception-return touchdown was the longest in Vikings history. Patterson, who is in his fourth season in the NFL, is the first player in league history with four touchdowns of 100+ yards.

With the win, Brady has 199 career victories (including the postseason), which ties Pro Football Hall of Famer BRETT FAVRE for the second-most in NFL history. Brady needs one win to tie PEYTON MANNING (200) for the most wins all-time.

Cousins and Rodgers became the seventh pair of opposing quarterbacks in NFL history to both throw for at least 350 yards with three or more touchdowns and no interceptions in the same game.
