Vikings re-sign DT Johnson
The Minnesota Vikings re-signed defensive tackle Tom Johnson on Wednesday.
The deal reportedly is for three years worth a total of $7 million, with $3 million guaranteed.
Johnson returns to the Vikings after recording a career-high 6.5 sacks in a career-best 16 games played (two starts). The fifth-year player entered the season with five sacks in 40 career games in his first three NFL seasons.
Johnson added 32 tackles, eight tackles for loss, 30 quarterback hurries and one forced fumble in 2014.
Johnson got his NFL start as a rookie free agent in 2006 and had playing stints in NFL Europa, the Arena League and the CFL. He eventually found a home in Minnesota after making his first NFL roster in 2011 with the New Orleans Saints.
