Vikings RB Peterson active; Bears start Slauson at center
The Sports Xchange
CHICAGO — Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is active Sunday for Minnesota despite being limited most of the week with rib, ankle and finger injuries. Peterson will start against the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field.
Peterson was questionable last week when he became ill on the team flight to Detroit, an ailment he pinned on allergic reaction to shellfish.
He leads the Vikings with 530 yards on 120 carries this season.
For the Bears, left tackle Jermon Bushrod and center Hroniss Grasu are inactive but free safety Antrel Rolle is active. With Grasu out, guard Matt Slauson is slated to make his first career start at center.
