Vikings place LB Barr on IR
The Minnesota Vikings placed rookie linebacker Anthony Barr on injured reserve Saturday and promoted linebacker Josh Kaddu from the practice squad to the active roster.
Barr has missed the past three games with a knee injury. The team decided to shut him down. Barr had 70 tackles and two forced fumbles this season. Minnesota hosts the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
Kaddu spent training camp and the preseason with the Philadelphia Eagles. A fifth-round draft pick of the Miami Dolphins in 2012, Kaddu played two seasons with Miami. He played five games in the 2012-13 seasons before signing with the Eagles during the 2014 offseason.
