Vikings DE Brian Robison Rips Refs For Missed Call

Brian Robison voices frustration with referees following blown call.

In a pivotal playoff-like atmosphere last night in Minnesota, the Vikings were robbed of an opportunity to force overtime against the Dallas Cowboys. After reaching the end zone in the weighing moments of the fourth quarter, Sam Bradford and company attempted a two-point conversion to tie the game, which failed, but they should have been granted another opportunity after a clear facemask on Dallas’ Cedric Thornton.

However, it wasn’t called.

Following the game, Vikings defensive end Brian Robison let his feelings be known.

“I’m sick and tired of the ref-ing in this league,” Robison said. “I’m sick and tired of it. You’ve got holding calls all over the place that people don’t want to call. Bradford gets hit in the face at the end of the game and you don’t call it. I’m not laying this loss on the refs. At some point, it’s got to get better … At the end of the game Bradford gets hit in the face and it doesn’t get called.

“This has been building up over the last few weeks,” Robison continued. “I know I’m probably going to get fined, but at some point, somebody has to stand up and say something.”

Now, losers of two straight, the Vikings find themselves only a half-game ahead of the Packers in the NFC North, while the Detroit Lions hold a two-game advantage in the loss column.
