Victor Cruz Compares This Team To 2011 Super Bowl Team

Find out how confident Victor Cruz says his team is right now.

To say the New York Giants are peaking at the right time would be a massive understatement. After struggling out the gate with a (2-3) record, the Giants have won seven of their last eight games. Even though New York has defeated Dallas twice, it’s very unlikely they’ll win the NFC East, but they’re perfectly fine with the wildcard.

After all, their last two Super Bowl titles came with them sneaking in as a wildcard, which has wide receiver Victor Cruz reminiscing.

He was asked if he sees this team as a championship contender.

“I do,” said Victor Cruz. “The energy around here is similar to 2011. Understanding we just need to win games and we’re confident. We’re not stepping into games, praying to win, figuring it out. We’re coming in confident from the first drive.”

Things won’t be easy down the stretch, as the Giants end the season on the road against division rivals Philadelphia and Washington.
