Vegas line adjusts to pick ’em for Patriots-Seahawks

Published

on

Although the early Las Vegas line had the NFC Champions Seattle Seahawks as 2.5 point favorites over the AFC Champions New England Patriots for the Feb. 1 in Super Bowl XLIX in Glendale, Ariz., it quickly adjusted to a pick ’em.

Seattle advanced to its second straight Super Bowl with a 28-22 comeback win over the Green Bay Packers in overtime, while the Patriots dominated the Indianapolis Colts 45-7 in the AFC Championship Game.

This will be the sixth Super Bowl appearance for the Patriots with the tandem of coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady.

There has never been a pick ’em spread at the Super Bowl, and based on the moving line on Sunday, it figures to change numerous times before Feb. 1.

The Super Bowl over/under total was sitting at 49 as of Sunday evening.
