Update: Ravens’ WR Perriman Expected To Play
Breshard Perriman should be healthy for the start of the regular season.
After reports earlier in the week stated that Baltimore Ravens’ wide receiver Breshard Perriman tore his ACL during OTA’s, NFL Media is reporting that his ACL is indeed not torn and he will be “fine for the season.”
The former first-round pick missed his entire rookie season with a knee injury and missing a second season would have been a killer for the second-generation wide out.
During his days at UCF, Perriman had virtually no injuries and his durability was considered exceptional when he was coming out for the draft.
Now that he will be healthy for the season, it’s unclear how productive he will be, but he will serve a certain purpose as he has game-breaking speed and better than average hands.
Perriman’s presence should make life much easier for veteran Steve Smith, as he tries to recover from a ruptured Achilles.
