Titans reach deal with CB Cox
The Tennessee Titans added another component to their defense on Saturday with former San Francisco 49ers cornerback Perrish Cox reaching a contract agreement.
According to NFL.com, Cox’s deal is for three years and $15 million.
Other teams reported to be pursuing Cox were the Washington Redskins, Baltimore Ravens and Cleveland Browns.
Last season, the 28-year-old Cox started 14 games for the 49ers and had five interceptions. With the Titans, he is expected to be paired with Jason McCourty at cornerback.
Cox joins a Titans defense that recently signed three-time Pro Bowl linebacker Brian Orakpo and defensive lineman Karl Klug and re-signed Derrick Morgan.
