Titans RB Greene out vs. Redskins

Published

on

The Titans are traveling to Washington with question marks in their backfield.

Running back Shonn Greene will miss his second game in a row with a hamstring injury and Tennessee is playing the waiting game with Jake Locker.

Rookie Bishop Sankey has practiced with the first team and played well in Greene’s absence last week, when the Titans beat the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Locker (hand) could be back as as the starting quarterback in place of Charlie Whitehurst, but Titans head coach Ken Whisenhunt said it will likely be a game-time decision.

Locker, who has missed 16 of a possible 38 starts since being named the Titans’ No. 1 quarterback in 2012, is making progress, but the Titans are planning to evaluate the decision following Friday’s workout.
