Thomas Davis Plans to Play in Super Bowl Despite Broken Arm
Carolina’s quest for Super Bowl 50 continued on without Thomas Davis on Sunday night. The Panthers All-Pro linebacker left Sunday’s NFC Championship Game win over the Cardinals with a right arm injury. Carolina quickly ruled him out, along with veteran safety Roman Harper, who suffered a first-half eye injury. Davis told reporters in the locker room after the game that he suffered a broken arm, but still intends to play in Super Bowl 50 in two weeks. “I believe in our training staff,” Davis said. “I’ll do everything in my power to be ready to go.” The linebacker also told Terry Bradshaw after the game, “I wouldn’t miss the Super Bowl for the world. We’ve worked too hard to get to this point.”
