Texans’ Watt expected to play despite illness
The Sports Xchange
Houston Texans Pro Bowl defensive end J.J. Watt, who was added to the injury report Saturday with an illness, is expected to play in Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Watt is the fourth player for the Texans to become sick leading up to the game. Receiver Jaelen Strong, cornerback A.J. Bouye and practice squad quarterback Zac Dysert all missed practices. Strong also is questionable, while Bouye is listed as probable. Watt did not miss any practices this week.
Texans outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney was ruled out Friday with a sprained ankle.
Jaguars running back T.J. Yeldon, who was listed as questionable with a groin injury, won’t play, according to ESPN.
Denard Robinson, who is back after missing three game with a knee injury, is expected to get the start at running back for the Jaguars.
