Texans sign all seven draft picks

The Houston Texans signed all seven draft choices and they were on the field Friday for rookie minicamp.

Signing were cornerback Kevin Johnson, the Texans’ first-round draft pick, inside linebacker Benardrick McKinney (second round), receiver Jaelen Strong (third), receiver Keith Mumphery (fifth), outside linebacker Reshard Cliett (sixth), defensive end Christian Covington (sixth) and running back Kenny Hilliard (seventh).

According to the Houston Chronicle, Johnson signed a four-year contract worth $10.049 million (guaranteed), with a signing bonus of $5.5 million. McKinney signed a four-year deal worth $5.3 million that includes $3.2 million guaranteed and a signing bonus of $2.1 million.

The draft picks and undrafted free agents underwent physicals and conditioning drills Thursday. They will be on the field working with the coaches on Friday and Saturday.
