Texans-Chiefs inactives: RT Fisher (ankle) won’t start
The Sports Xchange
HOUSTON — Right tackle Eric Fisher did not start for the Kansas City Chiefs, the result of a left high ankle sprain sustained on Aug. 17, against the Houston Texans on Sunday at NRG Stadium.
Jah Reid, signed last weekend as a free agent following his release from the Baltimore Ravens, started in place of Fisher. Donald Stephenson replaced Fisher for the last three preseason games and remained at left tackle, moving Fisher, the No. 1 overall pick of the 2013 draft, to right tackle.
The Chiefs’ inactives included quarterback Aaron Murray, cornerbacks Steven Nelson and Marcus Cooper, right guard Jeff Allen, tight end Brian Parker, receiver Frankie Hammond Jr., and left defensive end Rakeem Nunez-Roches.
The Texans’ inactives were cornerback Jumal Rolle, running back Arian Foster, safety Lonnie Ballentine, outside linebacker Carlos Thompson, inside linebacker Mike Mohamed, left tackle Kendall Lamm and left guard Xavier Su’a-Filo.
