Source: Travis Lee to visit both New Orleans Saints and Dallas Cowboys

Despite bad weather at his Pro Day Travis Lee is still gaining momentum as the NFL Draft nears

Per a source, Miles College defensive back Travis Lee has an upcoming visit with the New Orleans Saints and Dallas Cowboys. To the general public Lee is about as unknown as his college that is about a 50 minute drive from Tuscaloosa where the Alabama Crimson Tide call home.

The only people who currently know about him now are the only people that truly matter…NFL teams.

He is a long armed (32”) defender at 5-foot-11, 178 pounds and has been gaining ground on other prospects. His speed gives him the ability to cover ground quickly and enough of a physical presence to make an impact in run support. Lee really established himself at the Gridiron Classic where he held his own against receivers from Texas, Baylor and Missouri. The week helped propel him amongst plenty of small-school prospects to establish himself as a legit prospect in the eyes of NFL Scouts.

For his birthday he got one of the best gifts a small-school prospect could ask for, an opportunity to workout at another schools Pro Day. In front of roughly 15 NFL Scouts he ran an impressive 4.47 40-yard dash outside in uninviting conditions. The weather did not cooporate, but Lee as well as the other prospects fought through the less than desirable conditions to forge through the drills. Lee had six interceptions for 37 yards along with seven pass break-ups in 2014. He also has 30 total tackles on the season.
