Source: Browns Dining With QB From The NFL Draft
Cleveland Browns are unsettled at quarterback with the NFL Draft drawing near.
The rumors and curiosity about the current Cleveland Browns quarterback situation continue to grow as the NFL Draft nears April 30th in Chicago. Per NFL source, the Browns are flying former Northwestern quarterback Trevor Siemian to Cleveland on Sunday for dinner and then meeting with him on Monday in Cleveland and then they will be heading to Northwestern to work him out on Tuesday afternoon.
The 2014 team co-captain started 11 games before suffering a season-ending injury (ACL) against Purdue on November 11th. Siemian also had a pre-draft visit with the Denver Broncos.
Even though Siemian started only 14 games for the Wildcats, he ranks fourth all-time in school history with 5,931 passing yards. Northwestern uses an innovative spread offense, stretching the field side-to-side. Siemian possesses adequate arm strength and size (6-foot-3, 210 pounds) for the NFL. His overall ability to read a defense that include pre-snap, and locating secondary receivers will be a key to his potential success at getting an opportunity in the NFL.
