Emergency crews on Monday resumed the search for former wide receiver JaJuan Dawson. Dawson was boating Sunday at a lake near Dallas when he either fell into the lake of dove into the water.

The 37-year-old Dawson was reported missing around 6:30 p.m. at Lake Lavon, north of Dallas. There were three children and two other adults on the boat at the time Dawson went missing.

Local law enforcement officials said divers and searchers in boats scoured the lake until 11 p.m. Sunday. The search resumed about 7:20 a.m. Monday. As of late Monday afternoon, no trace of Dawson had been found.

He never resurfaced after going overboard, according to witnesses.

The Cleveland Browns drafted Dawson in the third round out of Tulane in 2000. He played in 16 games for the Browns during the next two seasons, scoring twice on only 31 receptions.

He joined the Houston Texans in 2002. Dawson started 14 games and had 21 receptions.

He briefly was a member of the Indianapolis Colts in 2003, but never saw playing time.
