Seahawks sign seven players

Published

on

The Seattle Seahawks signed seven players on Monday, including two who spent time in training camp last season.

Guard C.J. Davis was placed on injured reserve in August, and wide receiver Kevin Smith, from the University of Washington, was released in final cuts.

The team also signed quarterback R.J. Archer, who replaced Tarvaris Jackson on the Minnesota Vikings’ roster in December 2010 when Jackson was placed on IR. Archer had played the past four years in the Arena Football League.

Jackson, who has backed up Russell Wilson in Seattle the past two years on one-year deals, will be a free agent again in March.

The Seahawks also signed long snapper Luke Ingram, linebacker Brendan Kelly, defensive end Will Pericak and center Jared Wheeler.
