Seahawks’ Sherman, Thomas full practice participants

Published

TEMPE, Ariz. — Two ailing members of the Legion of Boom were full participants in the Seattle Seahawks’ practice at Sun Devil Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

Cornerback Richard Sherman (elbow) and free safety Earl Thomas (shoulder) have insisted they will not be limited in Super Bowl XLIX on Sunday, and both took part in all of “competition Wednesday” in Tempe.

So, too, did three other starters: right tackle Justin Britt (knee), running back Marshawn Lynch (back) and right guard J.R. Sweezy (ankle).

Come Sunday, Thomas plans to be the New England Patriots’ problem.

“You have to prepare, visualize and understand that your body is not 100 percent,” Thomas said. “At the same time, there’s so much out there.”

Neither player has worn any brace that is evident this week, and Sherman appears to be close to full strength after suffering a sprained elbow in the NFC Championship Game.

“I’m a guy you’ve got to tear my arm off if you want to get me off there,” Sherman said before Wednesday’s practice. “If I can physically walk and do my job, I’m going to go out there and play.”
