Seahawks replace KR Walters with DB Parks
The Seattle Seahawks released return specialist Bryan Walters and signed safety Terrance Parks from the practice squad to the 53-man roster Saturday.
The Seahawks are thin at strong safety, with starter Kam Chancellor questionable due to a groin injury and backup Jeron Johnson out after suffering a concussion last week at Carolina.
If Chancellor can’t play, DeShawn Shead likely would start.
With Walters gone, rookie receiver Paul Richardson is expected to return kicks. Walters missed last week’s game with a concussion, and Richardson had a 47-yard return.
Wide receiver Doug Baldwin and cornerback Richard Sherman are the top candidates to return punts.
