SB XLIX: Patriots C Stork upgraded to probable
TEMPE, Ariz. — The New England Patriots offense should be at full strength for Super Bowl XLIX.
Starting center Bryan Stork was upgraded to probable with a knee injury that kept him out of the AFC Championship Game, when New England shifted right guard Ryan Wendell to center.
Stork practiced this week and the Patriots upgraded him officially Saturday. Probable estimates a 75 percent chance or better of playing.
Inside linebacker Dont’a Hightower is the most significant injury with any lingering doubt of his status. Hightower is probable, but said Thursday he does think he will play but would have to wait until game day.
Quarterback Tom Brady (ankle) is one of several Patriots listed as probable: linebackers Akeem Ayers (knee) and Hightower (shoulder), defensive tackle Chris Jones (elbow) and defensive tackle Sealver Siliga (foot). Cornerback Darrelle Revis did not practice Friday, but he was given a rest day unrelated to injury.
For the Seahawks, safety Kam Chancellor (knee) was back at practice Saturday and is probable, as are safety Earl Thomas (shoulder), cornerback Richard Sherman (elbow), right tackle Justin Britt (knee), running back Marshawn Lynch (back), guard J.R. Sweezy (ankle).
