The New Orleans Saints released kicker Zach Hocker and signed former Washington Redskins veteran Kai Forbath, according to reports Monday.

Hocker missed two more field goals last Thursday night in the win against the Atlanta Falcons, giving him four misses out of 13 attempts and one extra-point attempt. He missed field-goal attempts from 51 and 48 yards against the Falcons.

Hocker’s job was already in jeopardy when he missed a potentially game-winning, 30-yard field goal against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4. The Saints ultimately won the game in overtime.

Forbath, 28, was cut after one game with the Redskins this season after he missed a 46-yard field goal in a loss to the Miami Dolphins. He made 50 of 69 field goals and 91 of 93 PAT attempts in three-plus seasons with the Redskins.
