Houston Texans safety D.J. Swearinger said Monday he is no longer with the team.

Swearinger wrote on his Instragram account that it is time to say goodbye to the Texans and move on to the next opportunity.

“One heck of an opportunity #texannation I appreciate everything and the opportunity and memories!! It’s time for a new chapter and the defining moment of my career!! So long #HOUSTONTEXANS,” Swearinger wrote.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported that the team informed Swearinger that he won’t be a member of the Texans.

Swearinger, 23, was drafted by the Texans in the second round (57th overall pick) in 2013. He started 10 games as a rookie and 12 last season. In 2014, he made 73 tackles, with two interceptions and one sack.

The Texans have been attempting to trade Swearinger for weeks and will continue to seek a swap, according to reports.
