Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan isn’t ready to comment on last weekend’s arrest of offensive line coach Aaron Kromer, who allegedly punched a boy and threatened to kill his family in Florida.

Kromer was arrested by sheriffs on a misdemeanor battery charge in Walton County, Fla.

“I’m not going to add anything to what we’ve already released as a team,” Ryan said Friday. “A lot of the process is still going on.”

The Bills placed Kromer on indefinite paid administrative leave on Tuesday.

“Like I said, I’m not gonna go into anything else,” Ryan said when asked about his plans to replace Kromer.

In a statement issued Sunday, the Walton County Sheriff’s office said Kromer and son Zachary were fishing Saturday when they confronted three boys over beach chairs. Kromer is alleged to have hit one of the boys in the face after throwing a fishing pole into the water. According to the sheriff’s report, Kromer then threatened to kill the boy’s family if he reported the incident to authorities.

The 48-year-old Kromer is in his first year in Buffalo on Ryan’s staff after working for two years in Chicago as the Bears’ offensive coordinator. Kromer came under fire last season after admitting he was the source of criticism toward Bears quarterback Jay Cutler.

Meanwhile, Ryan participated in a tandem skydive Friday morning with the United States Army’s Golden Knights parachute team at the Niagara Falls (N.Y.) Air Reserve Base.

Ryan jumped from about 9,000 feet and landed safely in a grassy area.

“I like living,” Ryan said. “I just like doing stuff like this, a little thrill seeking. It beats going to a state park, I think.”

The Golden Knights asked Ryan to participate in the tandem jump before their weekend air show and it was the first time the former New York Jets head coach has jumped from a plane, according to ESPN.com.

“You guys need to do it,” Ryan told reporters afterward. “Unless you do it, I don’t think people can do it justice on how to describe it.”

Ryan said his players don’t have permission to skydive as the Bills are just two weeks away from opening training camp at St. John Fisher College in Pittsford, N.Y.

“Because see, for me, that’s fine,” Ryan said. “Even if I would have broken a leg or something, it doesn’t matter. All I do is point. I don’t have to play. So yeah, not recommended for the players. But for a coach, go for it.”
