Rumor: Philadelphia Eagles Have Been Shopping QB Nick Foles
The Philadelphia Eagles have a glut of mediocre quarterbacks with Mark Sanchez returning to the team and they could be looking to deal with that by trading away another big piece of their recent offensive success. Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ.com is reporting that the Eagles shopped Foles at the Senior Bowl and the St. Louis Rams, Tennessee Titans and Houston Texans all showed interest.
Eagles head coach Chip Kelly has shown zero desire in rewarding players for past success in his offense if he doesn’t view them as needed pieces to the puzzle. Wide receivers DeSean Jackson, Jeremy Maclin and running back LeSean McCoy have all put up huge numbers and are now plying their trade elsewhere.
