Roethlisberger, Fitzgerald lead Players of Week
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week after completing 40 of 49 passes for 522 yards and six touchdown passes against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
Roethlisberger won his 100th career game in grand fashion, setting team records with passing yards and touchdown tosses. His passing yards tied for the fourth-highest total in NFL history
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald took the NFC offensive honor, finishing with seven catches for 160 yards and a touchdown in the win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
Miami Dolphins safety Louis Delmas won the AFC defensive award in the win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Delmas had an 81-yard interception touchdown return on top of a fumble recovery.
Kansas City Chiefs running back/kick returner Knile Davis took the AFC special teams honor. He had a 99-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in the win over the St. Louis Rams.
Minnesota Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr won the NFC defensive award. The rookie forced a fumble in overtime, recovered the ball, and returned it for a touchdown to win the game. Barr also added eight tackles and a sack.
Washington Redskins kicker Kai Forbath took the NFC special teams honor. He hit both of his attempts in the win over the Dallas Cowboys, including the clincher in overtime.
