Richard Sherman Upset With Offensive Play Calling
See why Richard Sherman was upset with the offensive playcalling.
Yes, the Seattle Seahawks dominated the Los Angeles Rams easily to the tune of 24-3 last night, however, one member of LOB isn’t pleased. Of course, it’s none other than All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman.
Now, we believe Sherman is satisfied with the defensive unit, considering they kept the Rams out of the end zone, but the offensive side of the ball is a different story. During a possession, the Seahawks drove all the way down to the one-yard line, but instead of just running it up the middle, they elected to pass.
“I don’t like it when we throw the ball at the 1,” Sherman said. “We throw an interception at the 1, luckily it went incomplete and I wasn’t going to let them continue to do that.”
This sounds awfully familiar to Super Bowl XLIX against the New England Patriots.
“I’m upset about us throwing from the 1,” Sherman said. “I’d rather do what most teams would do and make a conscientious decision to run the ball straight up the middle. We’ve already seen how that goes. I’m sure you guys have seen that play enough times.”
Sherman was seen yelling at head coach Pete Carroll and offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell. When asked about the mishap, Carroll downplayed it.
“It was nothing. It was just guys being fired up,” Carroll stressed.
The Seahawks will have eight days to prepare for division rival Arizona.
