Revis Thinks He is a Better Player This Time Around in NY
The Jets this offseason gave cornerback Darrelle Revis $39 million in guaranteed money to return as the shutdown cornerback they drafted once upon a time.
And even though Revis turns 30 this summer, and even though Pro Football Focus has floated the idea that his age may be catching up with him, Revis thinks he’s a better player than he’s ever been. He just feels he understands more after having spent a year with the Bucs before winning a Super Bowl last season with the Patriots.
“You know what? I think I’m better than I was before, when I played earlier in my career,” Revis said Tuesday at the Jets’ voluntary veteran minicamp here.
