Report: Seahawks’ Okung has torn labrum
Seattle Seahawks left tackle Russell Okung reportedly is playing with a torn labrum in his left shoulder.
Okung suffered the shoulder injury in Week 3 against the Denver Broncos but returned to play in that game and has started the past two games as well.
However, team sources told Q13 Fox that Okung has been playing through the pain of a torn labrum.
It is the latest injury issue for Okung, who missed eight games last season with a toe injury that required offseason surgery. He has missed 19 of 69 possible games in his NFL career due to injuries.
In other injury news, coach Pete Carroll told 710 ESPN on Monday that cornerback Byron Maxwell suffered a strained calf Sunday in Seattle’s 30-23 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Carroll did not give a prognosis.
The Seahawks already are without injured backup cornerbacks Jeremy Lane and Tharold Simon, although Simon could return this week or next.
