Report: Ryan Mathews Expected To Sign With Eagles
After trading away LeSean McCoy and striking out on bringing Frank Gore to Philadelphia, Eagles head coach Chip Kelly finally has his running back. It’s being reported that former San Diego Chargers running back Ryan Mathews will sign in Philadelphia, according to Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports.
Matthews, a former first-round pick by San Diego, has battled numerous injuries throughout his career and missed 10 games in 2014 while rushing for just 330 yards. When healthy, Mathews is a more than capable back, as evidenced by his 2013 campaign when he ran for 1,255 yards.
