Report: New York Jets to Sign OG James Carpenter

The New York Jets have been working hard prior to free agency at beefing up the interior of their offensive line. Now, a report from Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports has them signing former Seattle Seahawks guard James Carpenter.

Although it appears as if Carpenter is not the Jets’ first choice in free agency, the 25-year-old who was drafted as a right tackle has flourished a bit as a guard and, when healthy, had been a big part of the Seahawks success over the past couple of seasons.
