Report: Michigan brass in Bay Area to meet Harbaugh

Published

on

The San Francisco 49ers’ season ends Sunday and University of Michigan officials are not wasting any time trying to convince Jim Harbaugh to head back to Ann Arbor.

According to FOX Sports, a contingent of key officials from Michigan will be in the Bay Area this weekend to meet with the embattled 49ers coach. Many expect the 49ers to part ways with Harbaugh when the season is over.

There have been reports in recent weeks that Michigan already offered the head coaching job to Harbaugh. Some reports have said the Michigan offer is worth $6 million to $8 million a year.

The Wolverines fired Brady Hoke at the end of this past season, which saw Michigan compile a 5-7 record and miss playing in a bowl game.
