Report: Lynch to appeal $100,000 fine

Published

on

The agent for Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch reportedly said Lynch will appeal the $100,000 levied against him Wednesday for failing to comply with the NFL’s media policy following Sunday’s game.

Lynch’s agent, Doug Hendrickson, told ProFootballTalk that Lynch was battered after Sunday’s game. He changed quickly, and went to the team bus.

It was then, according to Hendrickson, that Lynch realized he had left without being available to the media.

ProFootballTalk reported the conversation that Hendrickson said took place between Lynch and Hendrickson after Lynch realized he had missed his postgame obligation to be available to the media:

“Dude, I screwed up,” Lynch told Hendrickson.

“Go back in,” Hendrickson replied.

“I can’t even move,” Lynch said. “My back’s killing me.”

Lynch then suggested he could speak to Mike Silver and Michael Robinson of NFL Media instead of returning to the locker room.

Ultimately, Lynch did speak with Silver.
