Report: Lions’ Bush on track to return
The Detroit Lions may have an offensive weapon back for Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots.
Lions running back Reggie Bush, who missed last weekend’s loss to the Arizona Cardinals because of ankle and foot problems, practiced Thursday, and told the Oakland Press he is “on track” to return on Sunday.
The ankle problem has slowed Bush much of the season. He has just 191 yards on 53 carries this year.
Meanwhile, Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson practiced on Thursday, according to the Detroit Free Press. He has been bothered by an ankle problem much of the season, and he also sustained a cut on his elbow in Sunday’s game.
He played in the Lions’ past two games, collecting 12 catches for 172 yards in those two games, and it appears he is set to play Sunday.
Lions defensive end Jason Jones did not practice Thursday, although his absence was unrelated to an injury.
