Report: Free-agent WR Rogers suspended for two games
The Sports Xchange
Free-agent wide receiver Da’Rick Rogers has been suspended for the first two games of the season, Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported Thursday.
Rogers was arrested last September and charged with driving under the influence — the latest in a series of off-field missteps by the one-time SEC star.
Rogers was playing for the Indianapolis Colts at the time of his arrest, and the team released him after learning of the incident.
The Kansas City Chiefs signed him after the season but waived him in June.
Rogers led the SEC in receptions as a sophomore at Tennessee, but he was dismissed from the team after reportedly failing a drug test. After finishing his college eligibility at Tennessee Tech, he went undrafted in 2013 and was signed by the Buffalo Bills before landing with the Colts.
