Report: Dolphins tuning out abrasive Lazor
Several Miami Dolphins players are tuning out offensive coordinator Bill Lazor because of his abrasive personality.
NFL.com reported Thursday that Lazor’s relationship with several players is “rocky.” Lazor is intense and took an “abrasive tenor with several starters” according to the report, which cites conversations with four players and text messages exchanged with others.
Lazor’s relationship with Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles was not all roses, as The Sports Xchange reported in January.
The Dolphins (5-4) have been inconsistent but improvement is evident since the team threatened to sit starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill.
Miami lost left tackle Branden Albert (torn ACL) in Sunday’s loss at Detroit, when running back Lamar Miller (shoulder) lasted only four carries.
Thursday’s game against the Bills is likely an elimination game in the AFC East with both teams two games behind the New England Patriots.
