Report: Dolphins, Crabtree $1.5 million off in contract talks
The Sports Xchange
The Miami Dolphins were willing to pay free agent wide receiver Michael Crabtree close to $3 million next season, but he wanted at least $4.5 million, according to the Miami Herald.
Crabtree visited the Dolphins recently and will visit the Oakland Raiders this week.
Crabtree, who played his first six seasons with the San Francisco 49ers, said last month he is “willing to wait however long it takes” to find the right deal for the coming season.
The San Diego Chargers and Washington Redskins have reportedly been interested in signing the veteran wideout as well. The 49ers have expressed interest in re-signing Crabtree.
Crabtree has totaled 347 receptions, 4,327 receiving yards and 26 touchdowns in 79 career games. He appeared in all 16 games in 2014, finishing with 68 catches, 698 yards and four touchdowns.
