Report: Colts’ reserve OT Nixon misses flight

Published

on

Running back Trent Richardson wasn’t the only player the Indianapolis Colts left at home ahead of their game Sunday in Foxborough, Mass., for the AFC championship.

Reserve offensive tackle Xavier Nixon missed the team flight to Massachusetts on Saturday and is listed as out for the Colts’ game against the New England Patriots, the Indianapolis Star reported.

Nixon, a second-year player out of Florida, did not play much during the season — just 99 snaps — and had been inactive in both playoff games.

Richardson did not make the trip to New England due to personal reasons and will not play either. He was inactive for the Colts’ win over the Denver Broncos last week and did not carry the ball in the wild-card win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
