Report: Cardinals WR Floyd out six weeks
The Sports Xchange
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Floyd reportedly suffered three broken fingers in practice on Wednesday and is expected to miss six weeks.
A source told Ian Rapoport of NFL Media that Floyd broke fingers on his left hand and could miss the season opener against the New Orleans Saints on Sept. 13.
Floyd, a first-round pick in 2012, has 157 receptions for 2,444 yards and 13 touchdowns in his first three seasons. But coach Bruce Arians has not been satisfied with his consistency and challenged Floyd on Sunday, saying the 25-year-old receiver “should be a big-time player” at this point.
With Floyd out, third-year receiver John Brown is expected to see more passes opposite aging star Larry Fitzgerald.
