Report: Broncos S Ward suspended for opener
The Sports Xchange
Denver Broncos Pro Bowl safety T.J. Ward reportedly will sit out the season opener against the Baltimore Ravens on Sept. 13.
The NFL suspended Ward for one game for violating the league’s personal-conduct policy, sources told FOX Sports’ Mike Garafolo on Thursday.
The suspension stems from an incident at a strip club that occurred shortly after Ward signed a four-year, $22.5 million contract with the Broncos last year.
Ward joins Denver defensive end Derek Wolfe on the suspension list; Wolfe was suspended four games for a violation of the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy.
