Redskins sign TE McCoy
The Sports Xchange
The Washington Redskins on Monday signed tight end Anthony McCoy and waived cornerback Deshazor Everett.
They also signed fullback Ray Agnew and linebacker Ryan Delaire to their practice squad.
Washington general manager Scot McCloughan is familiar with McCoy from Seattle, where the tight end had spent his first four seasons after being drafted in the sixth round in 2011.
He had missed the past two with Achilles injuries and was released Saturday as the Seahawks chose Cooper Helfet as their No. 3 tight end.
Washington is light on tight ends, having lost Niles Paul (broken ankle) and Logan Paulsen (toe) for the season.
McCoy joins Jordan Reed and Derek Carrier at the position.
