Redskins lose LB Spaight for season
The Sports Xchange
Washington Redskins rookie linebacker Martrell Spaight will miss the rest of the season with a head injury.
The Redskins placed Spaight on season-ending injured reserve Tuesday after he suffered a concussion in the season-opening loss to the Miami Dolphins. Washington will reinstate cornerback Chris Culliver to take Spaight’s roster spot.
Spaight is a fifth-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft from Arkansas. He was inactive for last Sunday’s game against the St. Louis Rams and replaced by rookie Terrance Plummer.
Culliver is returning from a one-game suspension for a violation of the NFL’s personal conduct policy.
