Redskins CB Hall restructures guaranteed portion of contract
Pro Bowl cornerback DeAngelo Hall recently had his four-year contract restructured in an effort to remain on the Washington Redskins’ roster, multiple outlets reported Sunday.
Hall, 32, was scheduled to receive a guaranteed $1 million of his $4 million base salary on Feb. 15. Under the restructured agreement, the $1 million portion is now non-guaranteed, ESPN.com reported.
Hall, who earned Pro Bowl MVP honors in 2010, signed a four-year, $17 million deal last February.
The Redskins, who hired former Chargers’ assistant Joe Barry as their new defensive coordinator in late-January, could make significant changes to their secondary in the offseason. Washington ranked 24th against the pass in 2014 and 20th overall on defense.
