Redskins add RB Hill
The Washington Redskins signed running back Michael Hill on Monday.
The 5-foot-10, 210-pound back spent the last month of the 2014 season on Washington’s practice squad.
An undrafted free agent out of Missouri Western State in 2013, Hill played in eight games in 2013 — two with the Green Bay Packers and six with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Last season, Hill had stints on the practice squads of the Packers and Indianapolis Colts. The Redskins added him to their practice unit Dec. 9.
With Roy Helu leaving to join the Oakland Raiders, Hill should get a chance to battle for the top backup spot behind Alfred Morris. Chris Thompson and Silas Redd are the other running backs on the roster.
